We went up to Hatchers Pass this weekend and had a super great time! It is one of the many reasons I love living in Alaska- It is so beautiful and rugged and litterally right next to home.
The weather was bright sunny then turned into a thunder / lightening storm right before our eyes. It was awesome to hear the thunder echoing off each mountain. Anyway- my husband Mason looked mighty picturesque the whole time in his hiking gear! Hope you enjoy and feel free to comment / critique.

1. After he saw this picture, it almost brought him to tears... He said OOOOH... This is so my heart.
What a sweety.

    2. It was still bright sunshine where we were at, but we could see that storm a coming. We stopped into a little cabin that was up there to check it out. Inside you could see where someone had stuffed sleeping bags into all the cracks. Probably trying to hole up during a winter storm.

side note- I actually added the lightening.... It was popping all around us, but I didn't actually get it in the same frame as Mason. (still, I like it because it was what was going on at the time)

Poor mason threw out his back after throwing our son into the creek. : )
But he looked so cute sitting there streching his back I couldn't resist.

Hatcher's Pass IS a beautiful place! What a wonderful set to remember your weekend! I love your little girl's expression, and the silhouette of your hubby in the cabin is really great, along with the colors. I like it a lot! The composition of #3 is quite nice. Is there a slight green cast? Nicely done and thanks for sharing!
