Hello DGrinners,
I am in search for a new lens upgrade from my canon 100-400mm IS L and thought with the light weight and the f/2.8, it would be a great choice..plus the cost of a 600mm or even the 400 f/2.8 cost double and weights almost 12 lbs.
I have even read reviews about retaining tack sharp images with the 1.4 or the 2.0 converters.....opinions welcome on any of this!
Looking for Like new and excellent conditioned with pristine glass!
Trying to take advantage of a lens just sitting in the closet not being used and one needs some cash in their pocket.
Thanks for any efforts and comments in regards to this search.
I haven't tried FM yet but will be searching there also.
Maybe even a nice canon 15mm Fisheye to compliment!
Aloha

I rented this lens this weekend and it is incredibly sharp, even with a 2x teleconverter on it.
Good Afternoon,
Thang has 1 for sale at FM. He's asking $3450 + shp.
Have a good day
Jim...
Quick Neptune, grab it! I just got mine last Sunday and love it, you'll wonder why you waited so long to get one once you start using it.
5D2/1D MkII N/40D and a couple bits of glass.
Is is a lot but not for getting the 600mm at around $6k..$3k sounds a lot better and with a converter...people say it doesn't lose much quality?
I will take in all the advise anyone is willing to give me!
Thanks for your time.
