I hope you'll indulge me sharing more of my favorite kids! I'm slowly working through our vacation pics. I was a bit disappointed when initially looking through them, but I think I'm finding some keepers! This was not posed...
C&C welcome...the conversion thing is always a work in progress for me!

I definitely prefer this one to the first "cousins" pic. I'd crop a bit of the bottom
and maybe a bit of the top, as well, but even without any cropping this is
very nice. The boy on the left looking at the others who are all in similar positions
makes this pic for me. It's a stunning moment. I love it.

rolleyes1.gif I wrote this somewhere the other day and used "compactflash"....somehow the terminology was not quite as 'romantic'!!!

Great shot Elaine! And a very nice conversion, too! Maybe you should take another vacation, your pics are turning out so well! mwink.gif

A very fine photograph, Elaine. I like the image just the way it is...no crop for me--the reflection adds depth and interest.

Thank you SO much! Since their faces aren't showing, I wasn't sure it would "work" for other people like it was for me. I really appreciate all the looks and comments!

Anyone have any idea how this would turn out as a canvas print?? Are B&Ws conducive to that format?

Nice job on maintaining details in the shadows. The pat approach of "shoot into the sun for a DRAMATIC silhouette" would have destroyed this shot. You couldn't have posed this shot better if you had tried to pose it (I think that came out right). The arms of the girl, the boy on the left turning back to look to make sure he doesn't miss something - say sheer joy. The light toning complements the idea of going back. Really, really well done.
