Wow, what a wonderful moment you've captured! Any talk of technical aspects
of this picture would be doing its real value a disservice.

Thank you. This was taken at a rental hall close to a window for natural light. I was doing some before and after shots for Mary Kay makeup, and these ladies wanted their pics taken together (family).

Kinda flat. I adjusted levels, got rid of the color cast, and boosted -slightly- brightness and contrast.

I think it looks nice warm in the original. thumb.gif I have a family shoot I have to do for 3 sisters as a gift for their mother soon.
That said, my guess is they were a little brighter.

Thanks for the adjustments:D . I do however, like the original. To me it more eye pleasing. It is a completely untouched picture, and I just think the natural window lighting gave a nice finish.
I do love to see what other people opinions are, so if you're lurking, please stop and commentmwink.gif .

Beautiful ladies, and you captured them in a warm and friendly grouping! thumb.gif I do think it's a touch underexposed, but just a touch. Nice job!

Okay, I'll try just a teeny bit of exposure. I'm on an uncalibrated monitor, so this is all naked eye:D.

the histogram shows it a tad underexposed is all. But the monitor conditions make a difference also. It's common in a scene like that for my XTI to underexpose by a half to 1-1/2 stops if I don't or can't first get close and meter the subject(s). Your original really isn't bad.

    Shannon,

I like the adjusted one a bit better. I liked the original too.
