iPhoto/Capture NX workflow?

Hi friends,
Help needed. I'm struggling to get a smart workflow going with regards to image download/sorting/labelling/key wording. I can't find an efficient way to do it!

I use iPhoto to load my photos but do all my work in Capture. Lots of processes don't transfer back and forth, so images I've deleted in Capture stay in iPhoto, and lots of other annoyances like that.

So I'm looking for recommendations as to a workflow suggestion or image sorter, etc.

Many thanks!

iPhoto is a great app for many, but I would think that for anyone with enough interest in photography to own an SLR and to be here it's woefully insufficient.

    Lightroom?

Agreed that for dealing with 300+ images in a go, iPhoto is a little lacking. Lightroom seems to be pretty highpowered as a sorter. I'm really happy with NX to do my editing. But it lacks as an image library/sorter/labeller /keyworder.

Still searching. Thanks fo the tips so far. Still going to look in to lightroom some more.

The problems with iPhoto are more basic. Like how it stores the keywords.
