Menopause Mauve

The term menopause mauve was used by our first realtor, in the 80s, to describe the decorating theme of midde aged women. I use it now, frequently, to describe my moods. My flower garden is full of iris' and chive blooms mixed with shasta daisy blooms. It is a sea of mauve, and it makes me happy. We've had many rain showers lately, followed by great sunlight, and the photo ops have been plentiful. I took advantage to test the new to me 50 f1.4 that I recenly aquired. I love how sharp these images are -the smallest details are razor sharp, and it has a really funky bokeh too.
And this one really shows the funky bokeh - no blur added at all - just a bit of a curve adjustment:

Ahhhhhhhhahaha "Menopause Mauve" I love it
I remember at work when I was being congratulated for having completed my 25th year of employment with the company I work at, and being put on the spot to make a little speech.
Well I figured I had nothing to lose, so I said I was quite thrilled about sharing my changed Menopausal status along with my 25th Anniversary all in the same year
I'd love to see your garden all in flower Ann, you'd get some pretty cool bugs too I bet, I'd be beside meself with joy at that prospect
Lovely Series Ann ... thanks for sharing.... Skippy

Keep your fingers crossed Skippy, that we do not have a late August/early September killing frost. If we do not, well then there will be some hope that there will be flowers and bugs. If we do, well at least we will have some orange leaves to shoot (but there will be better wildlife activity in the parks than in summer)
