Hi all!

I am very new to the realm of photography, but I got a nice camera for christmas so I decided I was going to learn! I don't know how to put pictures directly in to this text, so can you look at my latest gallery and tell me what you think?

http://bridgecitystudios.smugmug.com/gallery/397478

I know I am not very good yet, but we all have to start somewhere! I would really like to hear some feedback on some of my shots!

Thanks!

P.S. Glad to be here :thumb

I think you have some nice stuff in you gallery as well, It would be easier to give details comments if you posted them one or two at a time rather than the whole gallery.

There are a couple of them that I think are a really neat idea but would improve a great deal with a deeper depth of feild.

    Welcome BridgeCity :-)
    Hiya BC wave.gif

Welcome to Dgrin. I hope you enjoy this site as much as most of us do :):

Your pics look good. Lots of overcast shots, which are tough (but then again, you do live in Oregon mwink.gif ). I like how lush and rich in color most of the subjects are in your shots. Plus, you can say what you want about not knowing much about photography, but you have a good eye (for selecting interesting subjects/scenes and for composing) and you know enough to slow the shutter speed to get silky flowing water thumb.gif

For only having the 300D for a few months, I'd say you are doing just fine :D

This is a good site to participate in if you are looking to improve your skills. Lots of really nice folks here, from beginners to Pros, all willing to help others improve their pics and skills. To get the most out of this site (as with most communities) it is best if you participate in other people's threads also. So, you can critique pics and offer help to others and, in return, they will do the same for you nod.gif

Again, welcome and I hope you enjoy Dgrin :-)
