Practicing portraits

Portrait photogrpahy, or ust photos of people in general is genre that hasn't held much intereset for me till now so I find myself having a lot to practice in order to 'catch up'

    Hi Dave,

    I like the first shot, the colours and tone look good.
    The second shot has potential, but it looks to me as if the face is OOF. If this was deliberate, then I think it would be better if the face was more obviously so, as my eyes keep getting drawn to the face which is almost in focus.
    C&C always welcomed.

    really nice set...and really like the first...2nd is good but 1st is best by far.

    Thanks for your comments folks. The second photo is, I guess more of a demonstration of selective colouring than portraiture.

    Selective coloring is hard to really come across...I think you did well with the tattoo. Good job. thumb.gif
