One of my favorite shooting spots, and abandoned lot, has finally recovered from having been mowed... :rolleyes

All Canon gear: Xti (shutter priority 1/200, ISO 100) + 100mm macro lens + 500D diopter. MT-24EX macro flash set to -2 FEC.

This dragon is a first for me -haven't even been able to ID it yet. About 5cm long (~2 inches). Found a pair of them but the male was the only one who let me get close -and he had limits...

Must be bug porno day -it's all Brian's fault... :D

All Canon gear: Xti (manual mode F16, 1/200, ISO 100) + 62mm of extension tubes+ 100mm macro lens + 500D diopter for about 2.75 times life size. MT-24EX macro flash set to -1/3 FEC.

Thanks Skippy! That was a tough shot since the bee was rooting around in that flower like a pig in the mud! Lots of frames in the trash can...
