Hi Guys,

I just wanted to say: I tried the Epson Ultra Premium Matte paper today for the first time for the r800, and it is _awesome_. Printing from photoshop using the enhanced matte profile from the Epson website using a calibrated monitor and turning off the printer's profiling (ie, letting photoshop determine colors, and turning off ICM profiles in the printer setup) _finally_ made prints that look _exactly_ like what I see on my screen.

Hallelujah!

I've found my printer :)

    Welcome to the club:D

I remember the first time I got my Epson printer to match my monitor consistently, after years of mucking around trying to get a print to match a monitor with other printers. Once it works, it is like a revelation.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it took so long, but I almost cried that the print came out right the first time.

Now, if the cost of Epson ink would just come down a bit...
