Randy, i'm jealouse of your shots, do you actually have to travel to get these birds or they're somewhere near by?

a 30 min drive to the marina (no pun intended) then a 10 min boat ride to the 1st nest, 10 to heron island and anthore 5 to the 2nd nest i usually visit...heron island had > 50 juvy herons on the beach this AM, it was quite a site

if u are ever near Charlotte in the spring pls join us...we go almost every weekend....we start in April and shoot thru June when the kids leave the nests

i went back out Sunday but the weather was cloudy and the chicks have left the nest but the GBH's on Heron Island were everywhere....juvey's learning to fly

the nests are on shoal markers, in the middle of the lake
