Been slowly taking a serious approach to building my old portfolio work into something more presentable for a future project...I haven't dealt with them in years, comments welcome!

    Very Nice!
I actually like all of them, the first one is exceptional. I have really fallen in love with B&W photography. Unfortunately, I have yet to get my own results to reach the level I am hoping for.

    Nice job!

Thanks for the comments guys. I used to hate color in the pre-digital age because I was too picky - now I can tinker on-screen without running tests, heating chemicals, etc, and it's more fun... getting back into trying to digitize my older B&W work is just the reverse. Seems like working with paper and chemicals was (to a point) easier - maybe just because it was simpler.

All but the last one was shot with a Mamiya 645. The first mountain one was a bear to do on paper, with a ton of dodging and burning, some split paper development, and a few other things. I kept a sheet of printing notes in with the negs - yech. Digital was a little easier but lost a little bit in the fine tones.

The last one was 4x5 sheet film, shot late in the evening with very little light. I think the exposure was something like 45 seconds, maybe more. That one worked out a lot better in digital than it ever did on paper.
