Many people suggested B & W conversions for my daughters grad pics, Here they are. Used PSP 11 - has a variey of b&w 'film filters'. These are with the orange filter, as I liked it best.

I didn't see the originals, but judging by the bright sun my guess is that was suggested because they were harsh???? Regardless, great job on the conversions, I really like these in BW!

I think the suggestion came because of the multiple colors of dresses being distracting. You can see the originals HERE
Bright light, but not causing problems AFAIAC.

    Thanks!!

I love the creamy look of the b&w conversion. Beautiful girls - especially your daughter!

Thanks, Shannon. There was no ability to pose - too many people around, too many cameras The girls just got this set up themselves - perhaps watching ANTM helps?!

I think all three you converted looked fine in color, especially the third. If any reason to go b&w the skin tone/color cast looks off on a few of them, not all.

omy gosh... I thought they were graduating college! When I saw the boys, I realized they were young.... your daughter is very pretty! I am sure as she gets older she will not be so uncomfortable with her height! I really like the pictures, very nice!

Thanks - that color cast is strange - I see it sometimes but not always. I measured with the eye dropper tonight - have to admit I do not know what I am doing, but would expect the green value to be higher than others if there were a green cast and it is not. Am I wrong in my expectation?

    Anyway, thanks for looking!

Thank You - isn't that a VERY scary thought - those girls looks SOOO much older than they are! The brunette in the photo of just the two of them is a good friend (rahter than a classmate) - she is older and done high school, but the other girls certainly rival her.

And just the other day she was a babe in arms....

    Sigh!

Take a look at the CMYK values. You will note that your Y is very much higher than the M, so I'm thinking that what we are seeing here is not so much a green cast as too much yellow. Take a look at the Pleasing Skin Tone tutorial (here) for more information.

After just a very, very quick color balance tweak (reduced Y a lot, increased M a touch), this is what I got (before on left, after on right)....
