Hi,
I had to post this only because it was one of those shots that I wasn't ready for. I had my 500 f4 mounted today hoping to see "something" flying. It was 95 degrees and nothing was moving. I was just about ready to pack up go home when out of the corner of my eye I saw a streak. The sun was in the wrong place and I wasn't ready so I just hit the button anyway. I only took about 3 shots for the whole day and when I got home I was surprised to see this guy show up. It almost filled the full frame.. HA ! You should see how big the original is. I cut this down to 1000 pixels wide just to be able to post it.
I take no credit for capturing this shot.. it was just a knee jerk reaction to a flash out of the corner of my eye.. Oh well, so much for all those planned shots.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks for sharing,

Exceptional capture. As Harry says, you never know when that perfect shot will become available. You clearly took advantage of it this day.
Thanks for all the comments. I really don't even remember this guy flying by he (she) was so close and flying at "duck speed".. and then gone. I was quite surprised when I download it. Wish it would have been an Eagle, .
