These were the neatest birds. I forget the name of them, but they are really tame and land right on you! Here's a close-up of one. I, um, cut off it's butt so I had to make it a close-up. LOL

And this is just a snapshot, but you can see how close they get to you and how much my son enjoyed feeding them!

This one is blurred because he jumped when they got on his arm! LOL

What pretty birds. How neat you can get so close/interact with them. Most of the time you can only watch them in their cages. Looks like fun!

The birds were seriously a photographer's dream. They just sat there while I shoved my camera in their faces. They were better than my son at posing for pics, that's for sure, and that's pretty good for a bird! If my son hadn't been trying to run off to the next animal exhibit w/out me I could've snapped more pics. Oh well--I'm already planning to go back next time there's a mild day. It's too dang hot/humid now!

I think they are Lorikeets (I spelled it wrong, I know!) They have them at our Zoo in Columbia to feed as well. Very cooperative when you catch them hungry! Nice shots.

Nice set, Jan. That first shot is spectacular. Super sharp, lots of detail and great colour. WTG.
