Hi Y'all,

I've been away for a few days because my son and his wife and their three daughters and one son came a calling. Grandkids can keep you hopping. Instead of shooting birds I was shooting my family which has been considered wildlife on more than one occasion

however since this is the nature and wildlife forum

Wow, nice shots! I agree-- grandkids can be like wildlife. Maybe kid photos should always be posted here instead. :D

I LOVE the one of the three birds! They look like they're having a little bird-meeting or something. THey were probably talking about the guy who was snapping their picture. rolleyes1.gif

    Great Shots
    Great shots Harry..

We have a bunch of Blue Heron nesting here with babies but they are so high up in the trees you can't see the little ones.. but they sure make a racket when Momma or Pop brings some food.

Your shots give me inspiration to go out and try to capture the little critters, but big trees and lots of leaves might make it tough.

Thank you much. I have had lots of experience shooting white birds so getting the proper exposure is a lot easier these days.

Thanks Chris, these guys were pretty high up but the 500mm helps a lot. The greta herons make it easier as they perch on the outside branches giving you a clear shot.
