Fox family at Nawautin
Upon arriving at Nawautin Bird Sanctuary one morning a couple of weeks ago, my wife Daphne and I encountered this fox family. I was amazed that I actually had time to get my camera out of the bag and get some shots before they bolted. These were taken with my 1D MkIIn and 400 f/5.6L, handheld, at a distance and into the sun. All were a heavy crop and I'm delighted they turned out as well as they did.

Thanks for looking in. I hope you enjoyed these as much as Daphne and I enjoyed seeing these in the flesh.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks very much for the kind words. I appreciate the offer, but you can keep the rackity coons on the wet coast and I'll stick with the foxes.

Harv,
I love the shot of the kit running off. Great capture. They are beautiful animals and I hope to one day be able to see them in the wild myself.

Thanks a lot, Sheila. I was just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with my camera at hand. I was on my way to photograph birds and finding these guys was just a bonus.
