I love these birds! WHat a beautiful shot.I have them at the one and only tree that they fed off of, the Amalancheir.they are only here for two days! I took what I had hoped were some decent shots yesterday.but when I downloaded them onto the computer, I didn't check that they all loaded...and lost about 20 shots.
Not that they would have been at all close to the calibre of yours....thumb.gif

    Thank you kindly Emmalou.
We are fortunate to be located near Pt. Pelee and enjoy a great variety of birds, especially duriing migration. Just wish I could get out more often!

Thank you kindly. It is certainly a bonus when we can capture behaviour.

    Super! thumb.gif

Reminds me of an old shot of mine.

The Cedar Waxwing is one of the more sociable birds...I think.

I frequent a Canadian web site after meeting one of it's moderators and devoted bird photographer, Karl Egressy at Algonquin PP in the fall of '05. I've wanted to go to Pelee for some time. Is the island worth while or is the Canada mainland better.

    Thanks Ric,
The island is worth while but the Point is definitely the place to be in May.

Thanks Marina. The female actually bought the fruit too the male, which surprised me, but then, after teasing him with it for a bit, she ate it herself!
