Great shots, all of them. The dragon fly is almost surreal.
Did you know that cow birds lay their eggs in other bird's nests? So when they hatch, they're adopted by the new parents. The cow bird babies will then destroy any other eggs or babies, so that they have their adopted parents undivided attention.

Ric man, how can you, whitout even owning a Nikon, always make such great pictures?
Your pictures always make me feel a "lesser" photographer. Well done!
Thanks for sharing,

Awesome set. That is one of the best brown-headed cowbird pics I have seen and I also love the monarch. The ring necked pheasant would be a life bird for me. I've never seen one in the wild. Gorgeous!

Could be...the illustrations in my book leave you wanting.

Thanks, Joel. It took me a long time to get that background cleaned up.

You are going to give me a superiority complex talking like that. Tell me more!
I always thought that you were better than I because you do use Nikon.
