Komodo Dragon Portrait

Komodo Dragon on the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Have seen this guy a lot but this was the only time I've been lucky enough to catch him not sleeping. The keeper said a bird had landed in his enclosure a few minutes before and he was searching for it. Taken last December with a Nikon 80-200mm D lens at 200mm.

He's adorable! Every time I see one of these guys (which is not often) I think about how to seat belt one into a car seat. Armpits? Do they have armpits? :giggle

Sorry - a reference to the movie The Freshman where Matthew Broderick had to deliver a komodo dragon and they couldn't figure out how to secure it in the car.
