South Padre Island pelicans and spoonbill
The first day I was there I went to Laguna Madre Nature Trail where I got buzzed by these brown pelicans.
Later on in the week I shot this down by a local marina.
There were some spoonbills hanging around, but not many. I only saw a total of 4 spoonbills the whole week we were there and three of them were across the bay at the Laguna Atascosa NWR, but this one spoonbill was at the Laguna Madre Nature Trail on the island everyday. It didn't give me too many opportunities for good shots. Plus, it seemed very wary of people so it kept its distance.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks for sharing,
