I have 2 feature requests, one of which has been tossed around here before and I wonder if anything ever became of it, the other is impossible. I'll start with the possible ones
Baseball cards, will we ever see this as a print option?

impossible one
large prints first have to be approved by the photographer.
the player in the shot ordered a 20x30 of this

and I'm worried about how it's going to turn out. Since he lives on campus, I guess if it comes out bad I'll just refund him his money (I know, I should know better than the let people order 20x30's of ISO 800 photos). I think it'd be neat if there were a way that big prints could first come to me, I could approve them, and then send them to the receipient. Or at least the order would have to be approved (i.e. the print would go straight to the ordered, but I would have to approve it before it could go throgh). Oh, and y'all think that photo will come out ok?

Hmm, well I don't think you all would be able to tell if it would print ok from the large size and I aint about put an original size up on the net.

I went to your gallery to check out what the resolution was on the Original, and I think that image will come out fantastically. Every time we order one of the larger prints sizes from great images (I love the shot by the way!) they blow us away. I bet he is going to totally love that shot. :)

We can voice our opinion on creating new products, but that is about it. Since we partner with EZPrints for our print options... we get to offer what they offer. Hopefully it is something they will add in the future. :)

Did you look at it in full res though? It has a bit of motion blur thanks to 1/400 (i've since learned that I'm better off with 1/500 and then +1/3 exposure in raw conversion), and a bit of lack of detail thanks to ISO 800. Those are the 2 things that worry me.

BTW, do you think it is a good or bad thing that he ordered it as a lustre? I've never seen lustre, so I don't know if I should not offer it large, or not offer glossy large or just leave everything available.

I've never met the person who didn't love lustre (except for the extra cost). It's a heavier-weight professional paper with the saturation of gloss.

I don't want to open a can of worms for onethumb but it's sortof interesting to think about replacing images before the print order goes out using the replace image feature.

The trouble is we'd have to delay the order, so the customer doesn't get it as quickly, and we don't know what to do if the photographer doesn't respond in a timely basis (or at all) to replacing the photo.

You lost me on the replacing images thing. What I was thinking was more like the person submits the order for a large print and one of two things happen
1 - The person gets a order pending photographer's approval message and and e-mail gets sent to the photog.
2 - The person gets a prints over X x Y size typically take 4 days longer, and instead of going straight to the person, the print goes to the photog for approval. That way, if it's an unsatisfactory print...well I suppose the photog is still out of the same amount of cash if the print is bad but at least he gets to save face and make sure the picture is good. These would voluntary options to set up so only a photog who knew he could take care of this in a timely fashion would spring for this.
