Please give me honest c/c. The mean ones help most. LOL

Looks like they want the majority of your pics to get whipped here.

    I'm not crazy about #4.
#2 where he's sitting on the walkway is my favorite! Should enter for sedate.

Love the one where he's sitting on the sidewalk...the DOF is great on that one. Looks like a backdrop.

    Good job.

I found #2 being the best of the bunch. Beautifully done shot. Rest are good, but 2 is the best! thumb.gif

Wonderful series Jan! I am quite partial to the first and third. The hat is just too cute, you don't see enough of them with baby boys. How on earth did you get such great light in his eyes? (we debate that a lot around here, and you did a fantastic job). They're big, reflective, glassy and sharp. Well done!

I also really like the colors in the third, the brown and denim blue are great complements. (also, another cute hat!)

lovely shots, again....thanks for sharing! clap.gif

ETA: the storyboard is adorable, you may want to try a 10x20 size, I use these for storyboards, it works well. Also, I'd put the closeup in the middle to give it some balance, or get a really tight detail shot in there to avoid repetition. Just my 2 cents!

Thank you (and everyone else here) for the very kind words! The catchlights are the sky at dusk. My FAVORITE time to work is right after the sun goes down but it's still light, and that's when this was. I have my subjects face the place the sun went down. In the first few pics the sun was still up a bit, hence the more harsh lighting. As for the glassy and sharp--I think good focus is the key to that. With good focus, you can really bring out the shine w/ some levels adjustments and PP sharpening. I add a layer, oversharpen & overlighten w/ levels, then reduce that layer to 40-50%, if that makes sense.

Also I forgot to say thanks for the tips on the storyboard. You are so right. I'll try that!

Here's another shot of their dogs. Every try to expose a black dog, a white dog, and green grass? It sucks. Laughing.gif
