LPS8: Thunderstorm Ideas...

I shot this thunderstorm and decided to use the water tower to show size.
This one is actually a composite of two images. I wanted to shoot vertical but I don't have a wide enough lens to cover the whole storm in one frame. Do you think the bottom area with the grass and the shadow is distracting or good foreground interest?
This one was shot with the same focal length, but landscape instead.
Pretty much the same shot as before, but with a tree on one side. Do you think it illustrates the size of the storm or just distracts from the subject?
Do you think any of these images would be good for the theme?

Hey Dusty,
#1 - foreground too dark and distracting
#2 - much better, but could use some sharpeing and a little belnding
#3 - most judges would crop the tree
Would this theme improve if there were some ligtening flashes?
Do you have a chance to watch judges go through digital images with comments?
