Excellent shots Glen. So precise, amazing.
Egrets are so interesting to watch [if we have the time to wait them out lol]. I love the young ones how they gobble. They sound like a turkey, lol.
No egrets in my part of the world. They are gorgeous. The first one looks like he's running the high hurdles at the egret olympics. Thanks so much for posting these. Absolutely gorgeous!
The use of a camera is similar to that of a knife. You can use it to peel potatoes, or carve a flute. ~ E. Kahlmeyer

Thanks Netgarden! Snowies are alot of fun to photograph. They are very bold, and usually will ignore you completely.

First shot is the best for me !!!!
How come they have yellow feet ?? Where are you located ??? Here near Chi-Town , they are black!!
Thanks Wally! I'm in California, and the egrets with the yellow feet, and black bills are Snowy Egrets. The are significantly smaller than the Great Egret which has all black legs and a yellow bill. Both are common here.
Would love to know:
what you were shooting
Where you were shooting
What is the egret eating
Truly awesome snots!!
Lisa
Thanks Lisa!

I especially love the yellow background with the closeup of the head. The yellow in it's eye just pops!

Because these are Snowy Egrets, the ones with black feet and yellow beaks are Great Egrets.
Thanks Sheila!
