Watermarking stuck... again..

'Processing image' stuck

This happened with another gallery a while back and just never ever cleared so I ended up deleting and reuploading..so I am concerned it's doing it again:dunno

I have been back to this page several times to check

ahh sussed it - it was Andy trying to fix stuck images?

No joy Im afraid Andy, they're the same - just rotated images :oops

They're rotated back to the correct orientation now Andy, but the images that were stuck under watermarking are still stuck the same (i.e. 'Processing Image')

Ok so I can't fix those Simon, I'm sorry. Please delete those few and reupload - I wish I had a better answer for you

aaagh! not again - I have no idea where those images are, I'm just not that organised ( working on it) - it it only me that this happens with?

Is there something I am doing that I can stop doing that is causing it? e.g. could it be that I didn't let the page load fully or changed my mind halfway through or something lik that?

The thing is that it is pretty rare that I do any changes to watermarking - or even check out the watermarking function eyt on the few ( two or three times?) I have done it it has gone awry

This makes me concerned for future changes if this happens to one of my galleries somewhere pretty much everytime , as it has so far...?

I looked at that page and saw the rotated pics had watermarks. Didn't see
any in processing mode. Problem I saw was landscapes rotated to portrait
with the portrait watermark.

Might try deleting the Smugmug coolies.

OK I'll try that - I just noticed that that gallery is not the only one with the problem (see below)

can you explain to me why deleting cookies might fix it ?(sorry for my ignorance)

I've had a few times when pages show kinda weird or act funny and deleting
the smug cookies would work. Don't hurt to try.

wow just logging out gve me 14 cookies!

Logged back in again - no change:cry

It is actually on at least 3 galleries so I would really l;ike to get to the bottom of this . I can't be doing with having to periodically reupload images.

There has to be a reason for this , finding it is the problem

and BTW - Is there really no way to change watermarks globally with one control (yet?)

I notice that the stuck images were rotated in tha gallery ( as opposed to noit being able to see that in the watermarking section) but what I also noticed is that the watermark on them is the old one ( the copyright character is clipped at the top)

So it seems that it is only the copyrighting function that is awry because when I rotated the images back to the correct orientation that were visible correcly orientated in te gallery

So it seesm the copyright function specifically will not work on all images for some reason
