***SINGING***" Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
    Who could ask for more?"

how's about a little country flavor:

'My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue"'

    neat shot-

Well Richard I find this an awesome shot. A fantastic expression in eyes of this "struggeling with life" human being.

You can clearly see in the facial expression that "we" are not comfortable with the skin (s)he's in.

    Well done thumb.gif

    Thanks for sharing,

    Dick.

my 1st thought was that she looked like a 1970s Cher (does that date me, or what? :D ) and then I wondered about "Lola", ala' the Kinks song...

very good and intriguing shot Richard!

Thanks a lot, Colleen. It occurred to me that quite a few Dgrinners probably never heard the Kinks do Lola. Well, at least they can look it up in the Wikipedia. rolleyes1.gif
