It's a sad and spooky picture, there's nothing 'cuddly'/'nice' about it (which I like a lot!). For some reason, I see it as an illustration to Alice in Wonderland - not to any scene in particular, but rather matching the overall eerie/spooky feeling of 'being lost' that I had reading the book when I was a kid.
I can think of other writers to whose books this picture would be a fitting illustration. Kafka's one.
Ohhhh yessss. I love this treatment. Not just Conner all dressed up and stylized in a timeless way but also the chair in the background with stuff on it - stuff that would be distracting with another treatment becomes part of the whole. Wow!! I think this is art.

The processing on this just works so well!!! Everytime I look at it I find myself looking at every little detail. I think this is my favorite so far of all you've done George!
