    I shoulda suspected something right off the bat - since when would harryb post pictures of something cute and cuddly? :D

    But great shots and great detail showing the faces only their mothers could love.

    The parents feed the chicks by regurgitating fish. The chicks basically mug the parent when they return to the nest, grabbing their bill in the hope that the food will come up while they are holding on. The woodstork chicks are the only ones who don't do this, probably because the parent is too big.

    So, my sister in law (well, at the time she said this she was my future sister in law) told me that I could expect to have cuter children than her and her boyfriend, since good looking adults generally have uglier babies and vice versa ...............(yep, that is in fact what she said)

    well, I see that her logic applies to the world of birds - egrets are the most beautiful bird, but those chicks are simply butt ugly
