#1 is fantastic! i love the framing and composition, i know exactly what's going on. the b&w is outstanding!

The second one would be great if not for that white plastic bag in the foreground. Any way to tone it down a bit so it's not quite so distracting? The man has a great face and expression but the eye keeps getting dragged to that bright bag.

I agree about the bag (probably was one of the reasons I dumped it originally). I guess, I could tint it in with some neutral-darkish colour, but I probably won't ever get to do it.
