Image Sizing

I'm sure someone can answer this one ! What size resolution should an image be to evenly fill the template or lines that indicate where a pic will be positioned ? I tried 800 x 600 but received a message that the image was too large, i.e. "too many bytes" !:dunno Any ideas ? Thanks.

    Hi Rich wave.gif depends on what you are saving it for.. where are you posting it.. here in dgrin? or somewhere else.. let me know..:D

    Thanks for replying Lynn. I was referring only to the posts here in the forum. I guess I will have to compress my Jpegs a little more.

    Yes sounds like it.. if you have a smugmug account you can link from there with some large size photographs with little or no compression.. but if you upload under manage attachments they have to be compressed.. a lot..:D

    I have been using "Manage Attachments". I DO have a Smugmug account but I don't know how to link to it. Can you help ? headscratch.gif Thanks !!

    put it inside IMG brackets [ IMG]your link here[ /IMG]

    I put spaces in so that you could see the tags.
