I picked up a gorgeous Carnival mask for my daughter while I was in Venice. I finally came up with an idea for a photo:

Hope you like it.

You know, this might make an really cool photo with her wearing the mask and shooting at an angle instead of straight-on, then apply the same effects. ne_nau.gif

Thanks for the suggestion, David. I'm trying to imagine what you have in mind. Not sure how I would get the effect. The shot was a long exposure while zooming from about 40 to 75mm. No PP other than some color enhancement. Shooting on an angle would lose the symmetry, so it might look a little strange--not that I have anything against strange :D. I think you are correct that it would be a more interesting shot if there were a person wearing the mask. I'll have to think about how to do it.

    Thanks again,

Very cool idea and what a beautiful mask, Richard! I just read your thread you started about learning to shoot this type of shot. Really interesting! I need a few weeks off work to play around and learn some new stuff!!! Looks like fun....well, maybe not, but the end results are cool!!! rolleyes1.gif

Thanks a lot, Susan. Always nice to hear from you. Not exactly fun, but not exactly work either. :D
