Photos uploaded but "processing image" forever

I uploaded a couple batches today of a party I shot last weekend, sort of a costume party, anyhow the uploads been done for hours and I get a calls from a few people saying theres images that are processing for hours. Sure enough I go and look through the gallery and there are quite a few that are "stuck" .

This has been happening more and more to me lately usually to just one or two images now .. well this is embarrassing

I still have more to upload to this gallery but would like these fixed first and a solid answer as to why this is happening. I can see an image getting stuck in the queue for a few minutes even an hour.. but these have been uploaded for over 4 hours now (maybe even over 5 hours)
