I've been nursing this idea for a week now, and I finally got to shoot. What do you guys think? #1 or #2?

    Clever idea! thumb.gif

I like #2 because the explosive expression of the third guy is right in your face.

I like where you are going with this shot. I think #1 is a little too loosely cropped while #2 is a little too tightly cropped. So my vote would be for somehwere in the middle :D Just my 2 cents though.

In hindsight, however you decide to crop the first two, I would crop the third one tighter then the others to amplify the explosive nature of scream, even so far as right down to the top of the right eyebrow, and up to the bottom of the lip. JMHO....

What if you did a graduated crop for each face in the series? The first, neutral face, is cropped like #1, the second, squinty eyes, is cropped midway between #1 and #2, and the last face, scream, is cropped in tight like HoofClix suggested.

I really like the dramatic impact of the in your face crops of #2. Looks like an explosive situation to me. :D

Your third revision expresses the suddenness of an explosion the best, IMHO.......thumb.gif

Oh, I kinda like the first one. But you're the one who has to be happy with it, right? It's a really cool concept.

#2 for me. I like haveing the ears in the picture and the space between the heads. But #3 works too. The negative in #3 is the lack of space between the faces, which reduces the dramatic impact instead of increasing it for me. #1 doesn't work for me at all. I keep wanting to move the middle face to the left Just my $.02 worth.
