Campinas

I have no idea what sort of bird this is, but he can be found pecking away at coffee beans in the Parque de Portugal in Campinas.

An exceedingly lucky shot of a hummingbird here:

this is a fantastic park to see birds (particularly Toucans and monkeys. Someone with the ability to take photographs in a rain forest that don't suck (that would not be me) should go and check it out. It's in the hills above the City of Sao Paulo, open only on the weekends

I love monkeys

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice captures. Your first bird may be a Great Kiskadee, but I am not really sure. Look it up and see if you that reminds you of what you saw. What a place it must be to see such a variety of wildlife!

I was quite lucky on this trip. The colleague whose duties I am assuming in South America is an avid bird watcher, so when we made a two week journey to hand off accounts, we spent the weekends at some cool nature places. I never would have heard of this park otherwise- all the visitors are Brazilians, but apparently its pretty well known to bird watchers.

I just wihs I had more experience with this sort of thing- these are my first "bird shots." I have a ways to go before I get to Harry & Co.'s level:D
