This one was in the front yard today, really showing off and posing for me. Anyone know what variety this is? In the first two, he's sitting on a piece of yard-art...a dragonfly!

    Difficult to ID from the images. Was the tip of the tail black, and about how long was it? It could be a black tailed skimmer or a keeled skimmer (the later has an all blue tail).

    Thanks, all! Upon looking at a few of my other shots, it appears to have a black-tipped tail. It wasn't a large dragonfly...maybe just under 3".
