Cropping and original expression

Is there a way that I can "pre-crop" for prints to media sizes that will cause potential loss of key elements in the original photograph? I can't find the feature so if not, please add this to the wishlist...
I realize I could upload the same photographic image multiple times with each cropped to exactly what I want in the photograph for each media size. I was hoping that I could save bandwidth and storage space by uploading the original image and the do something like "crop mark" the images.
In many cases letting the lab auto-crop or allowing the user to crop makes sense, but in some of my photographs I would rather make those choices...

the key is to set your gallerys up with the proof delay setting.
when proofing(cropping) the ordered pics, it uses the correct aspect ratio, according to the size that the customer ordered.
its much easier and faster to crop when proofing, than before uploading.

Proof Delay allows you to review the order before it's sent to print,
make corrections and changes to the cropping as well as auto versus true
color. Best of all, you have the opportunity to totally replace any
image that is ordered, with your choice of a replacement, still allowing
you to adjust the crop and color setting after replacing it. For more
info on this, please see the links below which would eliminate any
problems in the future:
