A different type of bubble photo

Since I can't get a decent bubble shot in the air with my little point & shoot, I came up with a different way of getting them.
These photos are all done with the camera underwater in my kitchen sink. I have a marine pack for my camera that allows me to use the camera underwater without it turning into an expensive piece of bling for a fish.

These are not shot through an aquarium like most people do.

All the photos are recolored since the originals looked like a dirty liquid mercury.
They are shot using high speed and a flash.
All the photos are upside down for effect.

This photo was taken while the kitchen faucet was running allowing the bubbles to float to the surface.
The camera was on the bottom of the sink facing up.

This photo was taken while I was blowing air through a straw at the bottom of the sink.
I don't recommend this process since I almost passed out from hypervenilation! LOL!

A solitary bubble just under the surface of the water.
Has sort of an 'alone' feeling to it doesn't it?

Here's a point of view from your dishes in the kitchen sink.
These are soap bubbles floating on the surface of the water.

I have seen this process before that's why I made sure I typed it wasn't done in an aquarium. I wanted to do something different.

I'm with you on this one, but I've had people say it looks like a skull blasting out of the water.

I do see things a little differently this past year now that I have a camera. Drives my wife up the wall ... fringe benefit?

Very cool. Turning them upside down reminds me of Backdraft. They shot some of the fire stuff upside down, with an upside down set so that the fire would creep along the ground, which it would never do in reality. But it was cool. I can't remember if that stuff made it in the movie or not. I was cutting SFX for the trailer at the time, and I saw test footage, so I might be confusing it. Anyway, great work! bowdown.gif
