Backyard Hawk

I have heard this guy in the back yard for a few days, calling constantly. I decided to try and find him.

I spotted him from afar:

And slowly came closer:

He let me get pretty close:

Then yelled at me, too:

Then kept at it for a while, before flying away:

Tough light mid day and the trees, but it worked ok.

Shot with my 30D and 70-200f4L, so he was close and I cropped quite a bit..

    I have heard owls hooting in my neighborhood foe years, but I'll be darned if I can ever find one. And I have tried too!!
