I am looking for some suggestions on a good secondary camera to get, that can fit in say a pocket. For when i do not have the ability or energy to carry my DSLR around. Specially since i will be going to japan in a few months.

One friend suggested the fuji f30, anyone comments on that one or maybe another one to look at?

Personally, I've been very happy with my Fuji cameras :D These was taken with a Fuji A210 point and shoot that I used to carry around in my tankbag (getting caught riding in a sudden drenching downpour without rain protection finally did it in :cry ):

I imagine the f30 is a MUCH better camera.

Or a Canon SD800is. The SD line is small & has a great set of features.

I use the Canon SD600 and really love it. Canon also has an upgraded line that include lens-based image stabilization. It is also good for us as we only need one type of software (our other camera is the digital Rebel) instead of two different brands.
