    I|O switch on side of lens
    I feel dumb for asking this, and I searched high and low on this site for this answer..but which is on and off...is I or O the on position. I never had the manual for my 28-135mm IS lens, bought second hand.

    Just a guess but in computer terms O is off and 1 is on. The only way I could tell for sure would be to take a picture at each setting.

    My thought too, but I also thought... O could be on too. Anyway...I did more looking around and found this link and it explains it.
