I'm curious. On that last one, were you shooting into a private residence? And if so, did the person inside object?

No. It's an old book store. The person didn't object :)

That's a relief. :) I love open windows in the spring and it's disconcerting to think about someone walking down my street then posting a picture I didn't even know they were taking. I like the shots, BTW. Street is something that I need to make myself do more of.

I like the tone and grain of the 2 B&Ws. #1 made me smile, but I think it may need to be cropped differently.

Could you elaborate on what doesn't work for you in the current crop?

    Thanks!

I can understand that. I wouldn't shoot into someone's private residence. Btw, ever been to central areas of Amsterdam? :)

    Cheers,

I love these shots If you seen my post I'm just starting to get into street photography and I have two problems, the B/W conversion and subjects (just finding the good ones).

But I love your shots the B/W looks great. I like the different angles and crops to, I really like number #3 the most, but I would taking any one of these.
Some men see things as they are an say "Why?"
I dream things that never were and say
    "Why Not?"
