This was my first frame today. Except for cropping, very little was done to this shot. I didn't want to touch that background.

It's nice to see someone actually look at the photo...sometimes I wonder. Giving the bird something to look at makes it for me. In the prairie, something is bound to be in the focal plane...just look for it.

The first one was great. The second one just adds to it. Well done, Ric. Love them both.

No problem Ric. I really do look. I have learned quite a bit from you guys and I don't have to expose myself to the brutal nature of some of the other sites. I rarely have anything worth posting at a few other well known wildlife photography sites. Even though the posters are always nice, man, there is nothing I have posted there that was a resounding, Yes, well done! Oh well, such is life.

I know of those sites...I've steered clear of them. It took me a long time to have something worth posting. Just recently, I posted a few pics on FM's site and recieved a lot of nice comments. To be honest...I'm not that much better of a photographer, but I'm much better at editing.

Great Shots! My favorite is the second one. I like the echo of the yellow and black of the bird, in the little flower below.

You know, I thought of that! That wasn't you...was it?

I just thought that odd reply to a photo post deserved a little RG smart assness. :D

It does not get much better than this - an isolation and a habitat shot and both exceptional!

just looked that lens on B&H...one sweet piece of glass!! I've invested in Nikon, and the only thing i'm a little disappointed with is their limited selection of lenses...Enjoy!!

    Have a good weekend!
