    Cool pictures - but have you considered using CombineZ? You can really get fantastic detail using it - see my web site (software page) - it lets one go beyond the normal DOF problems.

    I'm aware of focus stacking, but I don't think you've got any experience shooting critters that move... mwink.gif

    Those ants are licking up that sugar water like a hungry kitten going after a bowl of milk -and most of the time they "jump" right after the flash goes off. I don't see how I could get a focus stack to work...
