Hello again everybody:wave I've just returned from my latest journey into Colorado. Me and my family have been in colorado for the past 2 weeks traveling and i've been going crazy takin photos. You'll see some from Garden of the Gods, and Rocky Mountain National Park mainly since thats where we spent the majority of our time. unfortunately though i didn't get to do many sunrise/sunsets and such because it was first and foremost a family vacation. but heres what i've come up with in the end:thumb

Rocky Mountain National Park

Going into Rocky Mtn Park

our first stop of many on the way up the mountain

i was amazed by the view by just the road alone these next 2 are shot from the road

Whatta view

More random shots from off the road or just off the road

Finally got to the top at about 1300ft and then i had to hike a half-mile farther off the road

and finally. because i rode with my brother and his GF here is our batmobile. he wanted a picture of his car up there:dunno oh how he loves his new Mazda6 :D

Garden of the Gods
Me and my Dad stayed an extra 3 days longer than the rest of my family in our Trailer because we wanted some sunrise/sunset shots of garden of the gods. so here are the results from that.

It takes a bit of hiking but eventually i came across a long row of Juniper trees that left an endless number of possibilities for framing:wink

the rock formation you keep seeing is called "Kissing Camels" and its one of their main attractions at Garden of the Gods

and on the way back down the hills i came across a wonderful view of the "Tower of Babel" another one of their main formations.

and yep, that wraps up my colorado trip, hope you enjoyed it as much as i did.

Those all have me convinced I need to take a trip up to Colorado thumb.gif I especially liked the Juniper Tree series ... the color really grabbed me, and as you said - the endless framing opportunities make for some really great shots!

Wow, Great shots. the color and motion in a number of your images is just beautiful. I love shot 1 & 3. I also love the images with the tree in the foreground and the sandstone hills in the back. Great!

Great stuff Daniel! I especially like the sunrise shots. My family and I are headed up to Colorado in a few weeks. We'll be near Pike's peak.
