Hi Everyone,

Well, since it has been 95-105 degrees here for the last couple weeks.. and since I sat out at the lake yesterday for 6 hours and never saw a bird or pushed the shutter (hey you guys up north, send me back some birds to shoot).. This morning I ventured way out on my front deck (about 5 feet) and snapped these little guys.

I missed the one little guy's beak but his colors were so nice I posted him anyway.
Shot with my 300 2.8 from about 15 feet. Such a sweeeeeet lens.

Sweet. Tough to beat the 300/2.8 but I just wish mine was about 3 pounds lighter.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the comments. I've been watching a dozon or more of these guys swarm around the feeder for 2 weeks. Today when I went out they got stage freight so I had to go get my camo cover and sit under it. Any other day they were buzzin around my head when I went outside.. go figure huh !!
