I was calmly watching a semi-pro hockey game when a puck nearly hit me in the face (thank goodness for the glass!).

It made quite a print on the glass when it hit.. you can almost see the exact outline of where it hit in this spash pattern!

    BC,

Glad the glass was between you and that hard rubber puck. Too bad you weren't able to catch the puck caroming off the glass. It's probably a one-in-a-million shot though. But, boy wouldn't that have been something? clap.gif

Wait till you get hit by one umph.gif

I've been hit in the face once (stopped by half shield) and several times in
    the body.

The most memorable was in a jr b game by a clearing pass. I gave the kid the
boards to clear the puck out of the zone but he aimed for the stripes instead :D
Hit me in the upper arm. At first, it didn't hurt. In fact it wasn't until I went to
pick up my gear after the game that I realized how much it hurt :cry

In 4th Grade I was sitting in the 10th row at a New York Rangers Hockey game, when 2 minutes in the puck was deflected off of Mike Richter's hockey stick and hit me right in the face. The puck was going 90 mph.

Ouch. I've seen spectators get hit at NHL games. After a lady was killed in Columbus, they put nets over the audience behind the goals.

I always, always get hit where I dont have padding......
and I show the bruises off like I am six years old.
But that is when I play.

I did get a lax ball in the chest once when I was taking pictures...man did that hurt. It was men's lacrosse and they come huck those things!
