My first posting

I've been a SmugMug member for a few months, but this is my first DGrin posting. These were taken along Lake Michigan in Evanston, Illinois on New Years Day this year. Let me know what you think. Feedback appreciated.

I like those first two shots because of the really nice light.

Good stuff! I never realized Illinois was that pretty. The light in the first shot is excellent. Thanks for posting, and welcome to Dgrin.

This is my fav.....I would have tried for a touch more foreground (so the couple on the park bench would have had something leading up to themand not cutting off theior feet) and cutting just a tad off the sky and leaving a very thing strip of blue above the moon incase someone wanted a print it would not crop into the moon......all the others were really nice and I liked them also...jus this one I wanted to keep looking at..

You're not related to the great steel guitar player from Okla by same last name are ya........

Art, thanks for the suggestions - great advice.

Probably related to any McAuliffe since there aren't that many in the US, and we all originally came from County Kerry in Ireland...but hadn't heard about the guitar player. I'll have to look him up.
