I spent a high energy, really fun day with my granddaughter today and took advantage of her exhuberant mood to take lots of photos with the new 50mm f1.2 lens. This picture didn't capture the joyous day we had, but it is very Emily, especially when I ask her to stand on the front porch so I can take her picture.

    Virginia -
Great shot. At first I thought too bad it wasn't sharper (like the eyes), but I think I like it the way it is. That said, have you thought about adding noise/grain to it? I think it would very interestnig.

She's adorable! We have serious faced kids in my family, too! So where's the rest of all the photos you took? We only get one???? :D

Thanks, everyone. Prejudiced as I am, I have to agree that my granddaughter is very photogenic. I take no credit for that, but I'm pleased you like the conversion. My model much prefers me concentrating on playing with her than to my stopping to take her picture. Being a good grandmother, I try really hard to respect her wishes. Sometimes, though, I just have to pick up the camera. rolleyes1.gif Always with her permission, of course. I'm planning to give her a camera of her own when she is 4 then she will no doubt get her revenge.

Very cute, and very true...that does look like the LOOK of a 13 year old girl. Almost as if she "So why can't I go out with Johnny?" Amazing how their attitude changes after the hit 12...it's almost a loosing battle if you don't stick to your guns.

I get that look from my teenager all the time.
