Tailgaiting...

Thought I'd share a fairly nice recent event. Several months ago, I submitted a photo which was used in Lacrosse magazine. Being fairly new to this arena, I was just pleased to get the opportunity. In late May, I got an e-mail from the editor. The NCAA Lacrosse championships were being held at Ravens Stadium in Baltimore over Memorial day weekend. The editor asked if I was going, and if I would go and take some photos of people tailgaiting for the July issue.

I wasn't going, but several of my buddies were, and they had big plans. As it turned out, the editor also agreed to let one of my best buddies to write a story about their experiences for a first person article they always have as the "parting shot." So, on the Saturday of the tournament, my wife and I went up each with a camera and took a bunch of shots--of my buddies plus a bunch from just wandering around the parking lots.

Just got the magazine a few days ago. They used one of my wife's shots as a full page shot (on p. 19 if you happen to have the mag) and two of mine of my buddy who wrote the article. Overall, a pretty fun experience "being on assignment."

Those are neat shots! I've heard of tailgaiting but never witnessed it before. Look like fun!

Reminds me of my childhood growing up in the Baltimore area. Crab cakes, Nat'l Boh, the Colts. Thanks for the memories. bsvirginian
